With recent statements and proposed plans to eliminate mail-in voting in the U.S., we at the ETA wanted to highlight some things that are true:
Mail-in voting is used by multiple countries, not just the U.S.
Hand-marked, hand-counted paper ballots are the gold standard for safe, secure elections globally. That can and often does include mail-in voting.
Non-transparent vote-counting methods should receive additional scrutiny.
